What's interesting is that this state is permanent for a given pianod 
process, but is fixed by restarting pianod without fixing any other 
network issue.  At least I believe that's true I can be more thorough 
next time I hit it.  Have had this one twice now.

I think systemctl will put stderr somewhere reasonable for me so that 
sounds good.  Thanks.
