[Pianod] Client behavior question

I’m working on a web client change to add ‘Paused’ and ‘Stopped’ status messages that overlay the album art. Try them here:
	http://draft.deviousfish.com/Df/pianod/client/index.html

The messages function as buttons, so there’s a big ol’ button to poke at instead of having to target the little play/pause button in the upper right. Improved usability and all that, especially on touchscreens.

The question I have, is when viewing previously played/upcoming songs, should I display these not? The arguments I see are:
For: I could see people glancing at the client, not seeing the message because they were reviewing history/queue earlier, and being confused why the music isn’t playing.
Against: Not wanting to clutter up the album art any worse than it already is. And, for paused, it’s not the past/future song that’s paused, which could create misunderstanding.

Opinions?

Also, there were some recent improvements screen-width responsiveness with flexible instead of fixed pane widths. If anyone’s encountering any troubles, please report them.

Lastly—have a Happy and Adventurous New Year everyone.
